Last week I wrote to Next and asked them some questions about their ethical trading practices. I wanted to find out how much importance they gave to the rights of their workers abroad in places like India. Based on research I had done on the web (see my ‘High Street’ page) it already seemed that they were placing a high value on their employees abroad. As well as question them I also wanted to encourage them in the efforts they are already making to improve the working conditions of their employees. To see a list of the questions I asked them have a look on the ‘Home’ page under ‘Letter to Next’.
I received an acknowledgement of my letter from them today with a promise of a further reply and answers to my questions. I will put their response on this webpage when I get it – do subscribe or come back again if you’d like to read it too.
